My name is Eliza Laviolette, I am a biology major at the University of Mary Washington
with a minor in environmental sustainability. My passion for animal health and environmental justice started at a very young age, and has guided me through hands-on experiences in veterinary clinics, equine hospitals, and field-based research. I’m especially drawn to cellular biology, environmental ethics, and bioinformatics. Whether I’m outside wading in river research, or in the lab analyzing cellular structure, I thrive in spaces where I can learn and produce meaningful scientific conclusions and I bring curiosity, precision, and compassion to every challenge. I’m currently exploring career paths in bioinformatics, wildlife conservation, and environmental biology. My goal is to contribute to science in ways that bridge the gap between innovation and ecological responsibility.
